We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established manufacturer of military technologies. The ideal candidate will have the ability to design, build, test, and calibrate continuous new product development. Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

  • Create mechanical designs and drawings, perform precise calculations, test products for functionality, and prepare reports for the engineering team
  • Learn how to handle all activities related to new product development including updating existing products and performing research and testing on product concepts
  • Generate drawings and models using CAD software like Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Vault and Nastran
  • Review technical data packages, Master, and Bill of Materials to ensure meeting ISP 9001 standards
  • Learn to handle all testing to support quality standards and integration with manufacturing processes
  • High degree of collaboration with Engineering teams, Quality, and production

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or other related engineering degrees
  • 2+ years experience with CAD and mechanical design
  • Familiar with ISO standards
  • Aptitude for Finite Element Analysis
  • Familiarity of EMI/EMC
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
