Job Summary

A leading California law firm is seeking to grow its law practice with an Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience specializing in water, environmental, or land use law. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a keen ability to rapidly grasp complex legal concepts, exhibit resourcefulness, and operate independently with a strong emphasis on organizational efficiency, attention to detail, and adept legal analysis and writing skills.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal precedents relevant to environmental law, land use, and water law. 
  • Represent clients in negotiations, disputes, and transactions related to natural resources, including appearances in federal and state courts and before relevant agencies.
  • Collaborate with the water, and environmental teams to develop and implement strategic plans for clients, leveraging your legal expertise to achieve their goals.
  • Expected 1750 evaluation hours, plus uncapped non-discretionary hours bonuses and discretionary bonuses for exceptional performance.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of pertinent experience in water, land use, or environmental law
  • Showcase robust analytical and writing skills, supported by relevant academic coursework or practical experience
  • Demonstrate the capability to collaborate effectively within a team in a dynamic work environment
  • Litigation experience is considered advantageous
  • Must be admitted to the California State Bar
